The Challenge
Music At The Towers needed a website that parents could browse on their phones while waiting at school pickup. The staff wanted to update class schedules and announcements themselves without calling a developer every time.
The Approach
I chose Nuxt 3 for its speed and SEO benefits. For the CMS, I set up Directus so non-technical staff could manage content through a friendly interface. The focus was on shipping fast while building something maintainable.
Key decisions:
- Nuxt 3 + Nuxt UI for rapid development
- Directus CMS for staff-friendly content management
- Mobile-first design for parent browsing
What I Built
- Responsive website optimized for mobile browsing
- CMS integration that lets staff update schedules, programs, and announcements
- Class schedule pages with easy filtering by age group and instrument
- Program information with clear registration CTAs
The Results
The site went from design to launch in 2 weeks. Staff now update content themselves, which means the site stays current without ongoing developer costs. Parents consistently find what they need on mobile.
